We met a happy couple from Spain!
They told us an interesting story about the area called Coria del Río.
There are about 650 residents who have the surname Japon (Japan) in the town.
スペインからの幸せカップルに出会いました！
スペインのCoria del Ríoという町には日本という名字を持つ人々が暮らしているよ。。Why!? なぜ！？
という興味深いお話をして下さいました！650名位いるそうです。
The delegation from Japan stayed in Coria del Rio in 1614. Several of them did not go back to Japan
and married people in the town. The decendants of them used the surname Japon(Japan).
なんでも1614年に日本からの使節団の何名かがこの町にとどまり結婚、子孫が日本という名字をつけたそうです。
We met a group of students from America and Mexico at the market.
They came to Japan about 2 months ago! The boy from America gave us a cute potato badge as a souvenior from Aidaho!
It was so nice of him to do that!
Their Japanese was very good! He is very interested in Japanese archery and Tea ceremony. I hope they will enjoy
their life in Japan and I hope they have a chance to visit us!

嬉しかったです！
日本に来て日が浅い学生さん達（アメリカとメキシコから）に出会いました。既に彼らの日本語は上手で
アイダホから来られた男子学生さんがお土産に、とポテト型の可愛いバッジを下さいました。
特に茶道と弓道に興味があるそうです。是非日本での生活を楽しんで頂きたいのと何か一緒に
出来るといいですね！
We met travelers from Seattle about 2 weeks ago. They were looking for JR Kyoto station and we showed them
the way. The elderly lady asked us where she could buy delicious Japanese sweets.
We took her to Isetan Deparment store and she was thrilled to see many bautiful Japanese sweets.
She could not help buying sweets like ohagi and mitarashi dango.
We found out that the elderly woman and her son are Japanese. The elderly lady suddenly started talking in Japanese after she enjoyed shopping! They told us that Seattle is such a beautiful place! You should come to Seattle!
I would love to!!
シアトルからの旅行者に出会いました！ＪＲ京都駅を探しておられたのでお連れすると途中で
和菓子が買いたい、どこかいい所ご存知ですか、と聞かれたので伊勢丹にお連れすると
とても喜ばれ心躍るようでいらっしゃいました。おはぎやみたらし団子など買い物せずにはいられないようでした。
うれしかったです！そして突然日本語をお話しになったので日本人の方でいらっしゃいました。
シアトルは美しい、ぜひ来てください！
We met a group of people from Indonesia! They've been studying at University in Kyoto!
They looked very excited about sightseeing in Kyoto.
インドネシアからの御一行に出会いました。京都の大学で学ばれていて今日は皆で
京都観光を楽しむ！ととても嬉しそうでした！生徒さん達がお勧め場所など教えて下さいました
On our way to Toji, we met travelers from Philippines. We walked to Toji together and enjoyed talking.
What didn't you like in Japan? He did not like curry. What do you like to do on the weekend?
He likes to go to the beach. World famous mangos are inexpensive. You can get 1kg of mango at 50 yen! Wow!
東寺に向かう途中でフィリピンの旅行者に出会いました。 一緒に行きました。 日本の旅を満喫されていて
嬉しかったです。。嫌いな物ありました？とお聞きしたらカレーが美味しくなかった！との事でした。
マンゴーは世界的に有名、美味しい、1キロたった50円で食べられるよ！いいなぁ！！
We went to the Umeda Skybuilding and we enjoyed talking with foreitng travelers!
We met people from Italy. Since they are civil engineers, they were very impressed by the architecture.
She asked them "Do you know any Japanese celebrities?" Can you guess who they are?
They mentioned a Japanese prime minister and popular soccer players Honda, Nagatomo and Kagawa.

エンジニアの方々で建物を見て喜んでおられました。
日本の有名人は誰かご存じですかと尋ねると本田、長友、香川選手などサッカー選手や総理大臣を仰っていました。
They said they would try takoyaki while they were staying in Osaka!
We met travelers from UAE(United Arab Emirates) at Umeda Sky Building today!
They excitedly told us how much they were enjoying travelling in Japan!
What do you like to do in your free time? "We enjoy a camel ride in the desert.
Sometime camel races are held and we enjoy watching the races."
Do you know any Japanese celebrities? "Honda, Kagawa and Nagatomo!!"
I'm ashamed how little I know about UAE.

We took a circle bus and enjoyed visiting major Kyoto sightseeing spots!
巡回バスにて主な観光地を巡りました。沢山回れず申し訳なかったです。。
A couple from Worcestershire, England joined us. They told me that Worcestershire is famous for sauce.
今回はイギリスのWoucestershire という所からご夫婦もご参加くださいました。
ウスターソースで有名なところです！ と仰っていました！ ウスターソースがイギリスとは
存じていませんでした。 The couple was very sweet and wonderful. We enjoyed talking with them during the trip.
They gave us a list of the places where we should visit in London.
本当に素敵なご夫婦で生徒さん達も会話を楽しんでおられたと思います。
ロンドンで訪れるべき所を沢山リストアップして下さってとても親切でした。
We also met a couple from Australia! They showed us pictures of vending machines and food samples.
They really liked them and could not help taking pictures of them!
オーストラリアからのご夫婦にも出会いました。 自販機やフードサンプルに感激！ 沢山の撮影されたお写真を見せて下さいました。
ご主人は僕はゴールドコーストボーイだよ と言って笑っていました。

Hello! We met a couple from Singapore!
It takes only 45 minutes from one end to the other end by car. Really!??
Singapore is a small country they said.
What do you eat for Christmas in the US? It's a good question!!
The husband said people eat cranberries, turkey and plum pudding in the US.
Where are famous places to visit in Sigapore?
Ruffles Hotel and Botanic Garden. She added The Singapore Botanic Garden was nominated as UNESCO
World Heritage Site.

車で端から端までたった４５分間で行けちゃうよ！そうなんですか？
アメリカではクリスマス何を食べますか？生徒さんがいいご質問をされました。

The travlers looked very happy when she tried greeting in their mother tongue.

Hello! We met people from Torino, Italy!
They asked us a good Japanese restaurant. We took them to Ganko Zushi. There was an Italian restaurant next to
Ganko Zushi and they were surprised by looking at their food samples. Resaurants usually don't serve spaghetti and pizza in the same restaurants in Italy. Also Italian pizza is much bigger than the one we eat in Japan. They said Japanese pizza is so small!!
イタリアからの旅行者に出会いました。 日本食レストランを探されていたのでがんこ寿司にお連れすると隣にあったイタリア料理のサンプルに驚かれていました！イタリアではピザとスパゲティは一緒に売っていないよ！ そしてイタリアのピザはもっと大きい！

This time we walked around JR Osaka station and went to The German-themed Christmas market held at Sky Building!
今回は大阪駅を歩いてスカイビルのドイツのクリスマスマーケットに出かけました♪
He happily showed us a souvenior that he bought for his nephew.
Why did you come to Japan? He came to Japan on business. He is an engineer and engages in building trains.
His company buys parts of trains from a Japanese company.
The trains built in his company are exported to Chili. It was an interesting story!
He said he is from Basque country which is in northern Spain.
He asked us what to buy for his girlfriend. How about fans and chopsticks?
スペインの北 バスクからお越しのトラベラーに出会いました！ 甥っ子さんに買ったという
小鳥のお土産をうれしそうに見せて下さいました。エンジニアで電車作りに携わるお仕事をされていると
いうことです。
彼女には何を買ったらいかなぁ。と聞かれました。生徒さんたちは扇子やお箸はどうかと
提案されていました
We moved to the Umeda Sky Building after meeting him. There was a huge merry-go-round welcoming us!
It was probably wooden made and looked really authentic!
梅田スカイビルに着くと大きなメリーゴーランドがお出迎え！おそらく木造で本格的！
We met travelers from France. One of them used to go to University in Kyoto. She spoke Japanese very well.
Where did you go? They visited Osaka castle and tried Okonoiyaki which was tasty!
フランスからの旅行者に出会いました☆ お一人の方は京都の大学に通っておられたそうで日本語が流暢でした
大阪城に行ってお好み焼きを食べて満喫されていました♪
Where are you from? I'm from Hamburg. His parents are the organaizer of this Christmas market. Wow!!
He comes to Osaka to help this event every year. We thanked him to give us such a wonderful opportunity to
enjoy authentic German Christmas in Osaka every year.

Hello!! Wow! Your Japanese is very fluent!! He used to be a tour guide for Japanese tourists in Egypt.
It can get 43 or 44 degrees in Egypt, so this Japanese winter is cold for them.
日本語お上手ですね！男性はエジプトでは日本人対象にツアーガイドをされていたそうで日本語が流暢！とても面白い方でした。
エジプトは４３，４４度になることもあるので日本の冬はとても寒い！！
Did you go to Pokemon Center in Daimaru deparment store? Yes!
Most of travelres who I aksed about Pokemon center know of it. Pokemon center is very popular world widely!
They think Japan is cleaner than Singapore.
ポケモンセンター行きましたか？ もちろん！ ポケモンセンターについて聞いてみると多くの観光客が知っている！と答えられます。
世界でも大人気なんですね！！
日本はシンガポールより綺麗！と思う！とのご感想でした。
We met people from Arizona. He is an English teacher in Totsugawa in Nara prefecture. Totsugawa is the
biggest village in Japan! How do you like living in Totsugawa? They've been enjoying living threre very much.
アリゾナからお越しのお二人に出会いました。旅行者ではなく十津川で英語の先生をされている方でした。ご両親が遊びに来られていました。奈良の十津川は日本一大きな村だそうです。つり橋も有名だそうです。日本の暮らしを楽しんでおられるお二人でした。

1月は寒いですがオーストラリアなどからスキーやスノボーで多くの旅行者が訪れますよ！
今日はフランス人旅行者とお話しました！
四条校では毎週木曜日14時～15時・金曜日20時～21時は お助け隊対策講座がございます！
内容は外国人観光客へのアプローチの仕方、聞いてみたい質問を考えたり、観光客にお勧めできる京都のイベント、お祭り、観光地を学ぶ

He was here for a conference and waiting for his friend to travel with.
生徒さんが待ち合わせ場所でお話されていたフランスからの旅行者。今回は会議の為来日。会議で出会った人と待ち合わせされていました。
We met a young man from France. He was visiting Japan by himself. He enjoyed eating Japanese curry which is different from one in France. Japanese curry is sweeter and he quite likes Japanese curry.
フランスからの学生さん。一人で旅行されていました。日本のカレーおいしいね！
フランスにもカレーはたくさんあるけれどインドカレーで辛い！
生徒さんお手製のお土産 素敵☆じゃないですか！ 旅行者も大変喜んでおられました！
Then we met a man from Luxemburg. He was here for a medical conference and he was in a hurry. Thank you!
ルクセンブルクからの旅行者に出会いました！珍しいです！医療関係の会議で来日されていました。今日は本当に会議関係で来日されていた方が多かったです！
We met a couple from America. They were heading for Kinosaki. They love Japan so much and they told us they didn't mind living in Japan. This is their 4th trip to Japan. The woman has been learning Japanese for 4 years and she spoke to us in Japanese very well.They had visited Obuse, Nagano before they came to Kyoto.
アメリカよりご夫婦で旅されていました。城之崎に向かうとおっしゃっていました。１週間滞在されるとの事！日本が好きで住んでも構わない。
４回目の日本旅行。奥様は日本語がお上手でした。４年習っているとの事でした。京都に来る前に長野の小布施にも行ってきたと
おっしゃっていました。なかなか小布施にいらした旅行者には会いませんね。。
They were looking for an ATM and a currency exchange at Kyoto station!
They were happy that we tried to help them! Oxnard in California is famous for big and delicious strawberries. There is a strawberry farm called Nishimori and it's owned by a Japanese man. She likes Nishimori's strawberries very much.
ＡＴＭか外貨両替を探しておられました。カリフォルニアのOxnardという所は大きくて美味しい
イチゴで有名だそうでニシモリという日本人の経営している
ファームがあるよ。と教えて下さいました。
