Otasuketai　 ＠Kyoto station 13:00-16:00

We had such a wonderful weather today.
TGIF... indeed. How lucky were we!?
There were 2 people including me this time for this event.
After we satisfied out appetite;it was very important, we started helping foreign travelers at the big map near the entrance of Isetan department store. We moved to a couple different places after Isetan and we totally helped 14 foreign travleres!
Otasuketai ended in the scucess this time as well. I felt releaved.

①At the big Kyoto map at Isetan (1)
We met a man from Austria. He had a big bagpack and tried to find his accomodation on the big map.
The student from Velco who joined today was very motivated to
help the man. She was very brave and offered him a help
without hesitation.
The ryokan which he was looking for was close enough for us to take him. We hsd a small conversatoin on the way to his Ryokan. It was nice!

②At the big mat at Isetan (2)
Soon after the student found a couple looking at the big map,
she started running toward the couple. She was willing to help them. I was moved by her motivation to help people.
The couple was from Denmark.
They tried to find their ryokan.
It was bit tricky this time. We were not familiar with the ryokan they were looking for. We had to ask Kyoto bus staff the way to get there. They had to catch a bus; we kept our fingers crossed for them to be able to get off at a right stop.

We went to subway station and JR ticket machine area but we did not see any foreign travelers.
We went back to Isetan and bus terminal area believing
it was our lucky spot.
We met the Austria man again at the bus terminal.
We chatted little bit and found out he changed his plan.
He decided to go to Imperial palace for the evening.

③Kyoto Station main entrance
We met three European travelers.
Denmark, Russia, and Sweden
They were looking for a place to eat SUSHI.Since they did not have much time at Kyoto, we took them to a turning Sushi place
located the other side of Kyoto postal office.

④Kyoto Station main entrance
We met a family from Australia.
They were looking for McDonald. It is located at the other side of where we were. We tried to take them there, after half way past, they said they could go there by themselves. We said good-bye to them.

you were really a wonderful navigator!

Velco　お助け隊　京都駅にて
今日は最高の秋晴れに恵まれお助けたいを前回の清水寺から
京都駅に移し2名で参上しました。
SUVACOのイタリアレストランで空腹を満たしいざ出動！です。
基本的に　伊勢丹出口（２F)MAPのあるところ、
バスターミナル、JR改札口付近が活動の場となりました。
地下鉄切符売り場は外国人が少なかったです。いつも多いですが。
今日ご参加くださった生徒さんはとても行動力があって
困った旅行客を助けたい！という熱意に溢れる方でした。
感動しました。
積極的に旅行者に声をかけられ、どこに行きたいか？
など一生懸命英語で聞いておられました。京都周辺のことにも
よく精通しておられ、地図も良く読めるかた（恥ずかしながら
私と大違い。。。）でしっかり旅行者を案内していただきました。
特にオーストリアの男性旅行客の方に　あなたはよいナビゲーターだと誉めていただきました。

①オーストリア男性　京都駅近くの　旅館に行きたい　
旅館までのナビ成功！
②デンマークのカップル　銀閣寺近くの旅館に行きたい
場所がわかりにくく、バス会社の方に行き方を尋ねなければなりませんでしたがナビできました。ナビ成功！
③デンマーク、スエーデン、ノルウェーの職場の同僚仲間
寿司が食べたい（時間ないので近くで）　京都劇場近くの回転すし屋までナビ成功！
④オーストラリア家族　マクドナルドに行きたい
マクドナルドへ途中まで案内　そのあと各自でいけるとの事で分かれました。ナビ成功！

他、アジア、北米の方々に出会いお助けオファーしましたが
大丈夫、、とのこと。


合計14名の方々をアシスト！

お助け隊に参加くださった生徒さん、大変感謝いたします。
旅行者のみなさんとの出会いも、生の英語をつかえた体験も大変貴重なものになりました。感謝です！
外国人の方々に触れる機会を持つって本当にわくわくして
楽しい気分になります！
